Put the flours into a bowl, make a well in the centre, add the eggs and milk and whisk together to form a smooth batter.
Allow the batter to stand while preparing the fruit. Peel and segment the orange and halve the strawberries and grapes; remove the pips from the grapes. Put the jam into a small saucapan and warm gently to soften. to make the pancakes heat a small frying pan, about 12.5cm (5in) in diameter, over a medium high heat. Melt a very small knob of butter in the pan. ( you need just enough to coat the surface)
Pour in enough batter to thickly cover the base of the pan. Cook until the batter is no longer runny and the underside is lightly browned. Turn the pancake over and cook for about 30-45 seconds. Slide the pancake onto a plate. To serve, spread a spoonful of jam over each one, place a segment of orange for the " mouth" half a strawberry for the "nose"and grape halves for "eyes".
